Industrial water treatment PVC adhesive is a specialized bonding agent designed specifically for joining PVC pipes and fittings. It is formulated to withstand complex operating conditions—such as prolonged water immersion and exposure to acidic or alkaline media—thereby ensuring the integrity of pipeline seals and structural stability. Mapuda's primary product offerings in this category include models 717, 711, 724, and P68.
1.These adhesives are specifically formulated for use with plastic piping—acting as true specialists within the field of pipe bonding. Whether it is the 711 and 717 models for bonding PVC pipes, the 724 model tailored for CPVC pipes, or the P68 primer, their core focus remains squarely on PVC and CPVC piping systems. Even though the P68 model offers additional compatibility with ABS pipes, ABS itself falls within the category of commonly used industrial plastic piping.
2.In terms of application feel and environmental friendliness, the products are quite comparable. With the exception of P68—which serves as a pre-adhesive surface treatment for pipes—the other three products are high-viscosity adhesives. When applied, they effectively fill small gaps at pipe joints, eliminating the need to worry about whether the connections are perfectly flush. Furthermore, all of these products are low-VOC formulations; they do not emit strong, pungent odors during application, making them friendly to both the work environment and the workers. Additionally, none of the products require complex mixing procedures during installation; even models 711, 717, and 724 can be applied at room temperature, providing installers with ample working time to adjust the positioning of the pipe joints.
3. Suitable for Industrial Water Treatment Applications
The primary utility of these products revolves around industrial piping systems; they are well-suited for use in industrial water treatment contexts, specifically for water supply and wastewater discharge lines. For instance, models 711 and 717 are effective for bonding standard PVC piping commonly found in water treatment facilities, while model 724 is engineered to withstand corrosive substances—such as acids and alkalis—present in water treatment processes. Furthermore, although P68 serves as a pre-treatment agent, when used in conjunction with compatible adhesives from the same brand, it significantly enhances the bond strength of water treatment pipe joints. Moreover, all these products comply with relevant standards for potable water applications, making them entirely suitable for use even within water treatment stages directly involving drinking water.
4. Safety Requirements for Use and Storage: Identical Guidelines
All four of these products are flammable and emit harmful vapors. Consequently, application must be carried out in a well-ventilated area, and users are required to wear protective gear—such as gloves and safety goggles—during operation. Furthermore, the products must be kept strictly away from open flames or ignition sources; activities such as smoking or eating are absolutely prohibited while handling them. The same rigorous safety standards apply to storage: containers must be tightly sealed with their lids securely fastened and stored in a cool location. The storage temperature should be maintained within a range of approximately 5°C to 44°C; exposure to direct sunlight must be avoided, as this can degrade the adhesive's performance and pose potential safety hazards.
